Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking an experienced Plastics Grinder Operator/Material Handler in Waterloo. The role involves operating production machines, material handling, and ensuring safety and quality. Applicants must have a forklift license and prior experience in manufacturing. Competitive pay starts at $19.89/hr plus vacation pay, with a day shift from Monday to Thursday.

Qualifications

Overview

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is looking for an experienced Plastics Grinder Operator/Material Handler in WATERLOO.

Pay Rate: $19.89/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly

Shift: Days — Monday to Thursday: 7am-5pm (38 hours)

Responsibilities
  • Operate production machines during part of the shift
  • Move finished or in-process product from machines to designated areas
  • Produce accurate inventory tags and ensure proper labeling
  • Grind materials and transport product to appropriate departments
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Work independently and manage time effectively
Qualifications
  • Previous material handling experience required
  • Forklift license and proven forklift operating experience (required)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with different plastic raw materials is an asset
  • Basic computer skills are an asset
  • Strong ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
