POSITION SUMMARY:

Plant Services (Janitor) working at our Dundas, Ontario processing plant. The successful candidate will be required to workday shift 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds (e.g. offices, restrooms, conference rooms, warehouse, grounds, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment
  • Some of the facilities are spread out around the property
  • Delivers a variety of items (e.g. supplies, chemicals, bags, catering items to nearby buildings, mail, packages, furniture, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned by management

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years' experience in industrial settings
  • 1-3 years' experience in janitorial or similar role
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Results-oriented individual
  • Effective reading and oral communication skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and to demonstrate responsibility for outcomes

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bending, twisting, pushing/pulling, leaning, climbing, extended hours of walking and/or standing
  • Must have the ability to lift, push and pull between 50+ pounds
