As a Personal Support Worker with WeeCare, you will do more than provide medical care according to each client’s care plan. You will offer peace of mind, comfort, and become a trusted extension of the client’s family.

Position

Part‑Time Personal Support Worker in Milton, ON every Monday, Wednesday, Friday 16:00‑19:00 and Sunday 08:00‑13:00.

General Duties (specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)

• Enteral feed support
• Maintain child's records and required documentation
• Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
• Observe and report on changes in child's condition to guardian and WeeCare
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids
• Demonstrate understanding of child’s needs and maximize abilities
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child/parent/guardian
• Respond to child/parent/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
• Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including child’s equipment and belongings
• Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting child’s safety, incidents, and accidents
• Complete all other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Graduate of a certified Personal Support Worker program
• Experience working with pediatrics
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Vulnerable Sector Check within the past 6 months

Schedule

• Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday
• 16:00-19:00 (Mon/Wed/Fri) and 08:00-13:00 (Sun)
• Evening shift
• Weekend shift
• 3 hour shift
• 5 hour shift
