The Pathologist Assistant will work under the supervision of the Supervisor of Pathology, Pathologist and the Medical Director. The Pathologist Assistant will report to the Laboratory Manager for scheduling or other HR related items. The Pathologist Assistant is responsible for describing and dictating the gross findings of specimens using the available protocol, taking representative sections for histological processes; assisting and performing ancillary special procedures on specimens and organs; other duties as assigned.
The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.
Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.
