Job description

As a Package Handler with Federal Express Corporation Canada (FedEx Canada) in Edmonton, AB, you’ll support daily warehouse operations by loading, unloading, sorting, and scanning packages by hand in a safe and efficient way. This is a physical, fast-paced role where you may rotate across areas such as Loader, Unloader, Palletizer, Scan Weigh & Key (SWAK), and Quality Assurance (QA).

You’ll work hands‑on with packages and basic warehouse tools, following FedEx safety methods like “hand-to-surface” handling and keeping packages moving through the operation.

About the role: Package Handler

In this role, you’ll load and unload packages from vehicles, trailers, pallets, and conveyor systems, and sort items by scanning labels and verifying numbers. The work is continuous and repetitive during short shifts (typically 3–5 hours), and you may work more than one shift per day depending on operational needs.

Some assignments require extra training—such as PH Trainer (training other handlers) or PH – Air (inspecting air‑restricted packages and completing required documentation/training).

Pay, Schedule & Work Conditions

FedEx lists a pay rate of $20.70/hour. The available shift is 3:15 PM – 6:15 PM on at least any 2 days of the week. This site is not accessible by public transit.

Expect warehouse conditions including hot/cold temperatures, loud noise, and frequent lifting/carrying (typically 5–50 lbs). No formal education or prior experience is required.
