This terminal plays a crucial role in global trade, specializing in the export of natural resources like coal and potash. Established in the 1960s, it is one of the largest terminals on Canada’s west coast, strategically positioned to facilitate the export of raw materials to markets in Asia and beyond.

The OT Security Engineer will be instrumental in enhancing the security posture of operational technology systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities and implementing security measures to safeguard critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, implement, and maintain operational technology (OT) and (IT) networks in accordance with industry best practices
  • and company standards.
  • Configure and manage Cisco Firepower and Fortinet security appliances to ensure the integrity and security of OT networks.
  • Deploy and maintain Cisco UCS servers to support various OT applications and services.
  • Administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policies, within OT networks.
  • Strong understanding with all networking protocols TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, CIPs , ARP, BGP DCHP ,DNS and being able to manage and design traffic egress and ingress

Skills/Must have:

  • Uses vision and innovation to think beyond the immediate situation and explore multiple potential paths; demonstrates the initiative to think creatively and commercially to maximize value for shareholders.
  • Digital and innovative mindset but balanced between technology strategy, and change management, and the context of the business operating environment.
  • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of OT systems and their specifications.
  • Experience working with industrial or logistical operations systems to effectively assess and implement IT/OT applications that automate and simplify workflows for critical business activities
