Job description

Our partner’s British Columbia Distribution Centre is a key logistics hub in the optical industry, located in Delta, BC. It supports the distribution of eyewear and related products to retail locations across several provinces, including Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario. The centre works in coordination with a nearby support office to ensure efficient operations and service delivery.

This is a permanent position offering a salary of $65,000 per year. Let us connect you with this great career opportunity! Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise the day-to-day functions of the manufacturing lab, ensuring smooth workflow and achievement of production targets
– Conduct quality checks on optical components and finished products
– Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot optical manufacturing equipment
– Provide training, performance management, and support to lab technicians
– Manage job flow to meet production targets and collaborate with customer service to ensure timely and accurate order deliveries
– Liaise with stores and labs to resolve product quality disputes, handle special orders, and log IT issues as needed

Requirements:
– Must have 3-5 years of experience working as an optical lab technician or optometric assistant
– Basic Computer skills: Windows, internet browsers, email, Excel, Word etc.
– Excellent communication skills in English are required to read, write, and communicate
– Previous edging and glazing experience
