Responsibilities
  • Incumbent will be primarily responsible for event planning, coordination and support for events related to the Masters of Business Administration and Master of Management in Analytics programs (e.g., buddy programs, alumni networking, case competitions, hackathons, study trips, new student onboarding, convocation celebrations).
  • Activities may include room booking, obtaining quotes for catering, requesting purchase orders, obtaining approvals, researching venues, creating invitations and RSVP forms, printing name badges, assembling bios and guest notes, completing sustainability checklists, etc.
  • With schedule permitting, on-site support for events to aid with room and AV set-up, catering, registration desk, and post-event clean-up; tasks are performed with general instruction and at high complexity.
Qualifications
  • There are other qualifying skills and/or abilities: exceptional organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, high degree of professionalism and autonomy.
  • Strong written and spoken communication in English.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Teams, MS Forms) and Canva.
  • Experience in student leadership, clubs/teams is an asset.
  • Experience in hospitality or customer service roles is an asset.
