Job description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Under general supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary health care team, the Occupational Therapist assesses treats, educates and manages patients/clients receiving occupational therapy services.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience

Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy. Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as an Occupational Therapist. Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid BC Driver's License.
