A regional government body in Lake Country, BC is seeking an OHS Student for an exciting opportunity from May to August 2026. You will support Occupational Health & Safety services, focusing on creating and maintaining safety program documentation, optimizing software tools, and contributing to health and safety projects. A strong technical aptitude and communication skills, along with enrollment in an OHS program, are essential. The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a OHS Student based in Lake Country, BC.
The student will support the organization in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) services.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
To qualify for this role, you should be enroll in a OHS program or other related discipline with plans to return in the fall of 2026. A valid Driver’s License is required.
As our ideal candidate, you have excellent communication skills. You are comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team environment and thrive in a fast-paced innovative environment. You possess a strong technical aptitude with proven experience in computer-based tasks and a wide range of digital tools, platforms, and software applications. Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is considered an asset, as these platforms are integral to managing training, documentation, and compliance activities.
