Your Next Challenge

Reporting to the Human Resources General Supervisor, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. This role is specifically designed to develop the successful candidate into a Human Resources professional, supporting a long‑term career at Agnico Eagle. You will support operational excellence, safety and continuous improvement while learning and growing in a dynamic mining environment.

  • Assist with human resources related tasks, such as supporting HRIS administration, preparing letters and documentation, supporting time & attendance processes, and contributing to audit/readiness tasks.
  • Assist with HR projects (e.g. workforce planning cycles, program rollouts, process simplification) and contribute ideas that enhance service quality.
  • Support policy interpretation and adherence to employment standards and company procedures.
  • Assist with workplace investigations.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety and responsibility.
  • Contribute to environmental stewardship and compliance efforts.
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects and support technology adoption.
  • Learn to use human resources related software and tools.
  • Take part in training and development opportunities to build your technical and leadership skills.
  • Benefit from mentorship and guidance to progress towards professional HR certification.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business/Commerce or a related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communicator and team player.
  • Eager to learn, adapt and contribute in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and Agnico Eagle’s values.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI.
Your Work Schedule
  • Schedule: 7/7 or 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine.
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
