Greycoat Lumley’s client is seeking an exceptional, experienced nanny to join the family in the beautiful countryside of Perthshire close to Perth. This is a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated childcare professional to provide outstanding care for 2 children - a delightful one-year-old and an energetic three-year-old.

The successful candidate will be a warm, nurturing individual who takes pride in supporting children’s development while maintaining the highest standards of care. You will become an integral part of family life, working closely with the family to ensure the children thrive in a loving, stimulating environment. The rural hillside location requires reliable personal transport.

Primary Responsibilities

Childcare

  • Primary care for one-year-old, including all daily routines, feeding, napping, and developmental activities
  • After-school care for three-year-old, including school pickups and supervision until parents return
  • Full-day care for three-year-old during nursery service days and school holidays
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, educational play, and outings
  • Support developmental milestones and early learning for both children
  • Maintain consistent, gentle routines that promote security and well-being
Practical Responsibilities
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for both children
  • Children’s laundry and wardrobe management
  • Maintain tidy play areas and children’s bedrooms
  • Attend toddler groups, classes, and playdates
  • Light housekeeping related to childcare duties
  • School runs and transportation to activities (full clean driving licence essential)
Additional Duties
  • Organise children’s schedules and co-ordinate activities
  • Communicate daily with parents about children’s progress and needs
  • Support with bedtime routines when required
  • Occasional evening babysitting (by mutual agreement)
  • Travel with family for holidays / short trips (optional, with additional compensation)
Essential Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant childcare qualifications (CACHE, BTEC, or equivalent)
  • Current Paediatric First Aid certification (or willing to complete)
  • Up-to-date PVG check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong references from previous families

  • Positive, enthusiastic approach with genuine love for childcare
  • High energy and enjoyment of active play and outdoor activities
  • Excellent communication skills with both children and parents

Practical Requirements
  • Full clean UK driving licence (essential)
  • Own reliable vehicle (essential due to rural hillside location)
  • Non-smoker
  • Excellent English language skills

Experience with prestigious childcare training (Norland, Chiltern, etc.) would be an advantage.

Hourly rate: £18 per hour / £37,440 gross per annum (40 hours / week × 52 weeks)

Fuel allowance / car expenses

5.6 weeks annual leave (28 days including bank holidays)

Start: End of October or November 2025
