Job summary

A global professional services company is seeking a Principal or Lead Civil Engineer - Earthworks Specialist to join their Mining, Minerals & Metals division in Vancouver. This full-time position involves leading transformative projects, managing civil resource hours and schedules, and ensuring the application of civil design standards. A minimum B.Sc. degree and extensive mining project experience are required. Competitive salary range is CAD 144,952 to 205,454, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Lead-level experience in Civil engineering with extensive Mining project experience.
• A proven mining industrial record, preferably in remote or arctic locations.
• Self-starter with an aptitude for problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Site earthwork planning and development.
• Prepare stormwater management plans including design of retention and detention ponds.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor junior staff.

Skills

Lead-level experience in Civil engineering

Strong understanding of civil earthworks design

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong and effective leadership skills

Problem solving aptitude

Education

Minimum B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering

Registration as a P.Eng.
