A construction and maintenance company is seeking a Millwright Journeyperson to join their team at Suncor Fort Hills in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This permanent role operates on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule with fly-in/fly-out accommodations provided. Key responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial machinery. Ideal candidates will hold a Millwright certification with experience in hydraulic systems and have necessary safety certifications.

Qualifications

• 4th year Millwright Apprentice certificate or Certified Millwright Journeyperson ticket required.
• Preferred: 2nd Trade Certificate in Welding or Pipefitting.
• Energy Safety Canada approved certifications needed.

Responsibilities

• Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Operate rigging equipment to place heavy machinery.
• Align and test equipment, making necessary adjustments.
• Perform predictive and operational maintenance procedures.

Skills

Experience with stationary industrial machinery

Rigging equipment operation

Repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Tack welding and fabrication

Education

4th year Millwright Apprentice certificate or Certified Millwright Journeyperson ticket

2nd Trade Certificate in Welding or Pipefitting
