Job summary

A non-profit organization is seeking mentors for high school students in British Columbia. As a mentor, you will provide guidance and support, helping students develop personal and academic skills. Ideal candidates are young adults aged 23-29 who can relate to the students, identify as members of the Black community, and possess prior mentorship experience. Bilingualism is an asset. Qualifications

  • Identify as a member of the Black community.
  • Located in British Columbia.
  • Prior experience as a mentor is preferred.
  • Dependable, adaptable, respectful, and resilient.

Responsibilities

  • Connect with youth in the mentorship program, in person or virtually.
  • Develop a relationship with the mentees.
  • Help mentees develop personal and academic skills.
  • Be a source of support and guidance for mentees.
  • Attend mentorship training sessions.
