Ideal candidates are young adults aged 23-29 who can relate to the students, identify as members of the Black community, and possess prior mentorship experience. Bilingualism is an asset. The role offers flexible connections in person or virtually.

Qualifications

• Identify as a member of the Black community.
• Located in British Columbia.
• Prior experience as a mentor is preferred.
• Dependable, adaptable, respectful, and resilient.

Responsibilities

• Connect with youth in the mentorship program, in person or virtually.
• Develop a relationship with the mentees.
• Help mentees develop personal and academic skills.
• Be a source of support and guidance for mentees.
• Attend mentorship training sessions.
