This role requires excellent organizational skills, interpersonal communication, and a strong understanding of medical office procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients, answer inquiries, and provide a welcoming environment.
  • Register new patients, collect necessary information, and update existing patient records.
  • Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and tests, ensuring optimal time management.
  • Maintain and update patient electronic health records (EHR) while adhering to privacy regulations (HIPAA).
  • Process medical billing, insurance claims, and coordinate with billing departments or third-party payers.
  • Assist healthcare providers and staff in managing administrative tasks, such as preparing patient charts, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Coordinate referrals, prescription refills, and medical records transfers as needed.
  • Communicate with patients to confirm appointments, relay test results, and provide follow-up instructions.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls, as well as email correspondence in a professional and courteous manner..
  • Maintain and order office and medical supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Manage inventory, track expiration dates, and oversee equipment maintenance.
