Overview

MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
Garage Mechanic
Hourly Rate: $51.649

Dryden Fibre Canada is currently seeking an experienced individual to become part of our multi-skilled maintenance teams while contributing to our ongoing success. The City of Dryden is located on the North shoreline of the Wabigoon Chain of Lakes along the Trans-Canada Highway. It is located midway between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario, and is surrounded by wilderness, lakes, and landscapes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and inspections on a variety of vehicle and equipment types.
  • Diagnose and repair mobile vehicle air conditioning systems, electrical circuitry, hydraulic and hydrostatic systems, and fuel injection systems.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs (adjust/test steering, electrical, cooling, lubricating, braking systems, drive trains, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, transmissions and oil, temperature, gas regulating components, adjust/test/rebuild engines, etc.).
Qualifications
  • A valid Interprovincial Red Seal Truck & Coach Certificate and/or a valid Interprovincial Red Seal Automotive Service Technician Certificate.
  • A positive work attitude and a keen sense of responsibility, particularly with respect to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong computer skills including experience with computerized maintenance tracking systems.
