Make an impact with our Indigenous Services Consulting team as a Manager. This diverse team of professionals works with more than 250 Indigenous peoples, groups and organizations across Canada and shares a passion for learning and understanding their history, culture and contributions to our country. As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide expertise to empower Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses and individuals in navigating a dynamic social, political and economic environment.

Our clients include various First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities as well as Indigenous organizations and associations across the country. We support our clients to develop strategic, business and operational plans that are thoughtful as much as engagement driven. Responsibilities
  • Lead the conceptualizing, planning and implementation of human resources consulting engagements, emphasizing organizational and people services to Indigenous clients across various sectors
  • Provide expert guidance and support on a wide range of projects related to change management, organizational review and design, talent management, performance management, human resource strategy and policy development
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by building strong relationships and developing innovative ways to deliver added value
  • Leverage specialized expertise to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues or key risks for the client
  • Build high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations and other correspondence
  • Cultivate meaningful connections within the vibrant Indigenous community, exploring potential business opportunities and preparing compelling proposals to meet client needs
  • Foster the professional and personal growth of team members by offering mentorship, motivation, and coaching, setting clear benchmarks, providing constructive feedback, and conducting performance evaluations
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, business, organizational development or a related field
  • Certification such as CPHR, Prosci, CMC, PMP or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum 6 to 7 years of human capital strategy experience, ideally in a consulting and client-service environment
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment legislation, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or enterprises an asset
  • Demonstration of advanced project management skills and tactics
  • Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
