Job Summary

The Maintenance technician position is responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and upkeep of fabrication equipment across our manufacturing plants in the Edmonton area. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated systems to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.

This role will work Monday to Thursday Nightshift, 6 PM to 6 AM.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on fabrication and robotic equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in automated machinery.
  • Follow up the implementation of reliability strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce failures.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment functionality and support manufacturing goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and reliability metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements during all maintenance activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce operational costs.
  • Follow maintenance team activities to ensure service to the production across all plants.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance and reliability within a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of CNC machinery, robotics, fabrication equipment, and industrial automation systems.
