Overview

We are currently seeking a Permanent Full-Time Maintenance Helper who is looking to support us in our efforts to provide an exceptional quality of life for our residents. You will work a 7.5-hour shift, five (5) days a week. This position will be based at our Alpine Seniors Lodge in Jasper.

Responsibilities

• Year-round grounds keeping and maintenance.
• Seasonal upkeep of the grounds, parking lots, outdoor decks, and gazebos.
• Seasonal start-up and shutdown of equipment and outdoor maintenance systems.
• Regular maintenance of grounds keeping machines.
• Winter snow removal.
• Assisting with general maintenance duties.
• Complete assigned tasks and close-off work orders within the stated response time policy.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, grounds keeping, or a relevant field.
• Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands; strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
• Able to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time.
• Computer literate; familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrate effective communication and a positive, professional attitude; patient and tactful when dealing with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.
• Ability to represent the Foundation professionally.
• The successful candidate must be able to legally work in Canada, reside in Jasper, and provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
