Magnolia Child Care Society is hiring for a full time Early Childhood Educator.

Position Details

This is a permanent position, working within our daycare programs.

  • ECE certified wages are set at $25/hour plus $6/hr wage enhancement.
  • Position to start immediately, once a criminal record check has been completed.
  • This position is for a variety of shifts: 7:30-4:30, 8:00-5:00, or an 8:30-5:30, 4 day week style schedule.
  • Benefits package offered, RRSP contributions for full‑time employees, as well as paid professional development.
  • In this position, you would be part of a collaborative team that works to create a positive, productive, and growth‑oriented environment.
Qualifications Required
  • ECE certified
  • ChildCare First Aid or equivalent.
  • Experience working within a childcare setting.
  • Be comfortable and enthusiastic exploring nature in all weather.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child care programming that supports and promotes physical, cognitive, and social development of the children.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music and physical activity.
  • Maintain daycare equipment.
  • Guide children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Assist co‑workers in supervision and keeping daily records.
  • Be knowledgeable of licensing regulations and requirements.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings.
