Job summary

A leading energy company is seeking a Research Technologist in Mississauga, Canada. The successful candidate will provide laboratory support for lubricant product research and development, assist in formulation development, and execute physical testing. A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field is required, along with experience in a chemical lab environment. The role includes collaboration with product specialists and contributing to safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a chemical or petroleum product laboratory environment.
• Experience in method development, validation, and quality system documentation.
• Experience in testing requirements of ASTM International standardized test methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide laboratory support for lubricant product research and development.
• Assist in formulation development and blending of prototype product samples.
• Document and maintain records of all blends and test results.

Skills

Knowledge in lubricant formulation development

Excellent laboratory bench technique

Strong computer skills

Ability to work well in a team

Solid communication skills

Education

Bachelor of Science degree or Diploma in Chemical or Chemical Engineering Technology
