Job summary

A transportation company is seeking experienced long haul truck drivers. The role offers a salary of $30.50/hour or 48 cents per mile, whichever is more, with full-time work expected at 40-50 hours per week. Successful candidates will need a Class 1/1F/A License, must be able to drive manual vehicles, and possess an Air Brakes Endorsement. We are seeking 2long haul truck drivers. Start date as soon as possible.
Salary $30.50 / hour or 48 cents per mile, whichever is more. Full time: 40-50 hours per week.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience is an asset, but not required
  • Class 1/1F/A License (semi-trailer trucks)
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's validity license check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Must be able to:
    • Travel for extended periods
    • Drive manual transmission vehicle
    • Do repetitive tasks
    • Sit for long periods
    • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
    • Use trip recorder (on-board computer)
    • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
    • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
    • Load and unload goods up to 50 lbs.
  • Must also be able to complete driver logbook, accident or incident reports, trip reports.
