Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Plan or adjust routes using navigation devices.

  • Inspect vehicle conditions and perform necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct emergency roadside repairs when needed.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

  • Salary: 30.50 hourly / 40 to 50 hours per week
  • Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS equipment or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
