The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the flow of goods, from raw materials to finished products, within our food company. This role involves coordinating transportation, managing inventory, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and coordinate daily shipments, both inbound and outbound, with carriers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
• Negotiate freight rates and select the most efficient and cost-effective transportation methods (e.g., LTL, FTL, air, sea).
• Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery and proactively address any delays or issues.
• Coordinate with production and sales teams to align inventory with demand forecasts.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, including HACCP and FDA guidelines, and customs requirements for international shipments.
• Communicate delivery schedules, special instructions, and any changes or issues to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities and transactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role related to domestic and international logistics (Imports / Exports)
• Fluently bilingual (French and English)
• Strong computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Proficiency in logistics software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
