A leading media company in Kelowna seeks a Local News Producer for a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will create high-quality local news content and engage with community members. You should possess strong storytelling skills, be capable of mentoring volunteers, and have a passion for news. The position requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to diverse community programming and staying informed about production technologies. This role supports both personal and career growth in a thriving environment.
We’re looking for a dedicated Local News Producer with a passion for local affairs and an interest to collaborate with community members to bring outstanding local content to our viewers in the Okanagan region.
To protect our people, brand and assets, a pre‑employment background check will be conducted. As part of our selection process, all candidates must clear a criminal background check. Additionally, a credit check and drivers abstract may be required depending on the role.
