Job summary

A leading hospitality group in the Municipality of Jasper is seeking a culinary professional to ensure dining excellence and maintain high food quality standards. This seasonal position offers a starting salary of $20.00 per hour and provides a chance to work in a breathtaking setting among diverse team members while exploring the Canadian Rockies. Overview

The Pursuit Jasper team is a diverse collection comprising seven hotels (Pyramid Lake Lodge, The Crimson, Marmot Lodge, Chateau Jasper, Lobstick Lodge, Forest Park Hotel, Miette Mountain Cabins) and four restaurants (Aalto, Terra, Hearthstone Lounge, Silverwater). By applying for this role, you’ll be considered for a position at one of these locations, with the possibility to work across multiple locations during the season.

Compensation

The starting salary for this position is $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures dining excellence at our hotel that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Prepare for all food production and maintain proper food rotation of line items.
  • Takes an active role in the production and presentation of all food products.
  • Ensures cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the various kitchen areas including refrigerators and storerooms.
  • Ensures food is stored in appropriate containers, labeled, and rotated to ensure high standards of freshness, minimizing waste and maximizing quality.
Qualifications
  • Journeyman Certificate an asset.
  • Food Safe Certification an asset.
  • 2 – 4 years cooking experience.
  • Desire and ability to increase knowledge in the culinary field.
