Job description

Join our team as Legal Counsel and play a key role in managing the company's legal risks. You will ensure the legal compliance of our activities while developing a solid understanding of operational issues and contributing to the creation of value for Groupe Master.

What you will accomplish with us:
  • Provide legal advice and manage litigation files.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel to develop litigation strategies, prepare witnesses, assess risks, and participate in mediations and trials.
  • Work closely with various departments to support their business initiatives and reduce legal risks.
  • Contribute to training on best business practices.
  • Manage the company's intellectual property files.
  • Draft, negotiate and interpret various contracts.
  • Proactively monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the company's activities.
What You Bring to Our Team:
  • Member of the Quebec Bar for 3 to 6 years.
  • Collaborative leadership and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to explain complex legal concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • Relevant experience in construction law and product liability (an asset).
  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written.

Compensation information: Base salary: $105,000 - $125,000 per year. Additional compensation packages include annual bonus.
