A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Land Manager/Senior Land Manager to identify and secure development sites in Essex and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills and experience in land acquisition. This role offers a competitive salary up to £78,000 along with an attractive benefits package, including bonuses and pension options.

Developer with an enviable reputation for volume sites with a quality build urgently require a Land Manager/ Senior Land Manager to acquire land within their patch of operation in the Eastern Counties.
The role is working within a small team that delivers large schemes from 80 – 900 units. Areas of operation and acquisition are Essex, Suffolk up to Thetford and North East London. The team will consist of a Land Director, a Senior Planning Manager, and an Assistant Land Manager, and this role, so a team of 4 to deliver 400 units per annum.
The role will be to identify and secure development sites across the division in order for Land targets to be met and working closely with the planning team in order to ensure that maximum optimisation is achieved from all land purchases.
Utilising a network of agents, land owners, local authorities, and other developers, you will identify Land acquisitions of 80 units and above within the geographical area stipulated.
You will appraise all opportunities using the correct appraisal procedures involved in investigating, reporting, and ultimately purchasing the land.
The acquisition will follow, and the successful candidate will need to be able to handle all negotiations and formulate offers/ bids that adhere to the Group’s acquisition requirements, have a thorough understanding of associated agreements, and be able to work with all JV’s and Partnerships.
It is essential that the successful candidate can formulate offers, coordinate investigations, negotiate with local authorities, agents, and lawyers in order to produce the contracts for signature.
This is an excellent role working for one of the best brands in the industry. The successful candidate can expect in return a good compensation package that will pay up to £65,000 for a Land Manager and £78,000 base for someone more senior, and the opportunity to progress.
