A community-focused organization in Hamilton, Ontario seeks a Kitchen Aide/Driver to assist in food preparation and delivery while maintaining kitchen services. Applicants should have a Grade 12 education, kitchen aide/delivery experience, and a valid CPR certification. This role is perfect for someone passionate about community support and service delivery in a positive work environment.
Hours of Work: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, or 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and alternate weekends.

This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - Men's Centre
Reporting to the Manager/Supervisor of the Kitchen, the Kitchen Aide/Driver enhances the dignity and quality of life of our clients through the responsibilities of kitchen aide and driving services.
The primary duties include assisting with the preparation of foods, rinsing, washing, stacking, storage, recording of food logs, and storage. Duties also include the delivery of prepared food from the Centre kitchen to other centers and/or catering functions. Responsibilities also include cleaning of dishes, cleaning kitchen areas including storage areas, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and other duties related to kitchen aide and/or the delivery of food or other items for serving.
Observe all health and safety rules and work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
Applicants should possess an appreciation and understanding of a range of issues including abuse, poverty, homelessness, mental illness and addictions. Applicants must possess a minimum of a Grade 12 education with some kitchen aide/delivery experience, a valid CPR certification (or willingness to be certified) and a demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, flexibility, adaptability, hospitality and dignity.
