McElhanney Ltd. is calling on passionate and curious Engineers‑in‑Training to help strengthen infrastructure in Indigenous communities. This is more than an engineering role—it's a unique chance to connect directly with communities, support local housing and infrastructure development, and see your work create visible, lasting impact. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across water, wastewater, and community infrastructure design while learning under the mentorship of experienced Professional Engineers registered in BC. The successful candidate will be part of our Kamloops Branch and will be based in, or willing to relocate to, Kamloops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build trusted relationships with Indigenous communities through meaningful engagement and consistent follow‑through.
  • Support infrastructure assessments that identify and prioritize the needs of local communities.
  • Work on impactful projects from concept through completion, collaborating with internal teams in geomatics, geotech, structures, and more.
  • Contribute to designs and technical reports for wastewater and other community infrastructure as well as support funding applications that turn community goals into funded projects.
  • Participate in field inspections and site reviews—get your boots dirty and learn by doing.
