About the Role
We are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of design tasks, lead portions of projects, and provide technical expertise in the development and testing of aerospace systems. You will collaborate across disciplines, ensure compliance with industry standards, and help guide junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools.
- Conduct analysis and testing to verify design performance and compliance.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and work instructions in compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Ensure designs meet aerospace regulations and company quality requirements.
- Manage tasks and deliverables within project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Participate in and contribute to design reviews, providing technical recommendations.
- Support procurement activities and engage with suppliers as required.
- Mentor and support junior engineers on the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline.
- 4–10 years of experience in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
- Strong foundation in statics, dynamics, strength of materials, and system modeling.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling and mechanical drawings (SolidWorks preferred).
- Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations (FAA / EASA, MIL / NATO, ISO 9001 / AS9100).
- Proven ability to analyze engineering data, simulations, and test results.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with prototyping, fabrication, and testing of aerospace systems.
- Familiarity with aerospace procurement processes.
- Knowledge of Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and / or ITAR compliance.
- Prior experience including supporting funding applications, attending trade shows, and / or stakeholder engagement.

- Salary Range: CAD $80,000-$100,000. Commensurate with experience.
- Contract: 12-Month Fixed with pathway to permanent position, subject to performance.
