Industrial Electrical Supervisor
As an Industrial Electrical Supervisor, you will lead maintenance teams to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our manufacturing processes. Your role will encompass hands‑on technical support, team leadership, and the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance actions to uphold equipment reliability and availability.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the application of health, safety and environment standards and practices.
- Complies with HSE procedures, reports incidents or observations, performs inspections, and participates in investigations.
- Responsible for performance management of direct reports by consistently applying the CBA and annual performance reviews.
- Troubleshoots and minimizes the impact of failures on production processes by diagnosing failures and executing necessary interventions to maintain equipment availability and reliability.
- Maintain a visible presence in the mill to foster employee engagement, communication, and assess work process effectiveness within the team.
- Provide technical hands‑on support on the production floor (70% or more).
- Implement preventive and corrective actions; keep risk analysis and environmental aspect assessment updated.
- Act as a shift leader, leading employees during their assigned shift, coordinating schedules, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring work safety conditions.
- Verify technical resource availability, ensuring suitable minimum stock.
- Manage and update the maintenance information system and technical documentation, keeping records of information related to their area.
- Support Base Maintenance Supervisors in executing preventive tasks and scheduled interventions during normal production.
- Support Base Maintenance Supervisors in executing failure analyses.
- Analyze, interpret, and recommend actions for complex topics.
- Interact with internal and external contacts with a higher level of autonomy.
- Comply with Tenaris policies, procedures, and management standards, and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Proactively motivate, coach, communicate with, and develop staff; manage HR-related activities in line with HR norms and procedures. Protect facilities, equipment, and other physical resources from damage, theft or misuse.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in industrial maintenance, trades work, or hands‑on engineering technician (asset).
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Post‑secondary education in Electrical Trade (442a preferred), Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environment safety procedures.
- Previous experience with PLC, VFD, sensors, and high‑frequency heating equipment considered an asset.
- Previous experience with SAP considered an asset.
Schedule & Working Conditions
- 12‑hour rotational shift, with flexibility based on business needs.
- Work performed in a steel manufacturing mill.
