HYBRID - Senior Technical Business Analyst to bridge operational stakeholders and IT delivery teams to gather, analyze, and translate complex business needs into scalable technology solutions within an Agile environment.

Our aviation client is looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to bridge operational stakeholders and IT delivery teams to gather, analyze, and translate complex business needs into scalable technology solutions within an Agile environment.

Note: Hybrid, office in Richmond, 1 year contract

Must Have:

• 7+ years experience as a Technical/Senior Business Analyst in IT or operational environments.
• 2+ years' experience in aviation, transportation, or similarly complex operational industries (aviation preferred).
• Proven track record working with Agile Scrum teams and delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end product development lifecycles and system integration.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile documentation practices (epics, user stories, workflows).
• Advanced ability to create process flows, data mappings, BRDs, and traceability documents.

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analysis, Computer Science, Aviation, or a related field.
• Certifications such as CBAP, CSM, or CSPO.
• Experience with data analytics tools to support decision-making.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration management and technology-agnostic system connectivity approaches.

Duties:

• Lead elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and integration requirements for Digital Twin, Airport Applications, and operational systems.
• Facilitate workshops with operational stakeholders, translating complex needs into actionable user stories and functional requirements.
• Develop detailed process flows, data mappings, technical documentation, and traceability matrices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation, integration, and scalability of solutions.
• Support Agile delivery: define epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria using Jira and Confluence.
• Provide input into the Digital Twin software roadmap in partnership with the Product Owner.
• Use analytics and metrics to inform product and operational decisions.
• Prepare and present deliverables including BRDs, design documents, test plans, reports, and dashboards.
• Facilitate change management activities, helping stakeholders adapt to new processes and systems.
