In this role, you’ll work on a range of commercial and residential projects, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC/R systems with a focus on professionalism and precision.

What You’ll Do
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC/R systems in commercial and residential settings.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency service calls with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate with clients to explain issues and provide clear solutions.
  • Complete all job documentation, including diagnostics, parts used, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians, apprentices, and other departments to ensure smooth job execution.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure installations and repairs meet code.
  • Represent EDL in a professional manner at all times.
What You Bring
  • Journeyperson certification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or enrollment in a registered apprenticeship program.
  • Experience in HVAC/R service—commercial background preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC/R components, and maintenance best practices.
  • Familiarity with iOS/Android systems for job management tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and complete documentation accurately.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work on out-of-town assignments as needed.
Working Conditions
  • Field-based role with exposure to heat, cold, and noisy environments.
  • May involve physical work including climbing, kneeling, reaching, or lifting.
  • Work performed inside mechanical rooms, rooftops, or customer sites.
  • Must be available for out-of-town work as required.
