Overview
TRITAN Group seeks an ambitious Human Resources coordinator to join a dynamic firm in the Edmonton area. The HR Coordinator will support the HR team in day-to-day operations and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, HR systems, and general administrative support to ensure smooth HR operations. Roles and responsibilities
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with candidates.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, including preparation of documentation and induction schedules.
- Support hourly and salaried employee onboarding, including orientation sessions, new hire paperwork, and ID/access badge setup.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with organizing training sessions, HR meetings, and company events.
- Help ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and labour regulations.
- Respond to internal HR-related queries and provide timely support to employees and managers.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies.
- Support administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR or administrative role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS is a plus.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in the HR field.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HR software.
- Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
