What awaits you:
- Administration of the collective agreement, including grievance handling, interpretation, and compliance
- Data collection and report generation for KPI presentations
- Guidance and coaching for operating management on assigned shifts
- HR responsibilities related to employment, recruitment, onboarding, and training
- Analysis and interpretation of complex contracts and legislation, resolving issues accordingly
- Conducting workplace investigations and recommending disciplinary actions when appropriate
- Responding to employee HR queries and communicating policy changes
- Managing overtime processes with supervisors and hourly employees
- Ownership of salary onboarding, recruitment, training records, and Textron University
- Management of benefit administration for salaried employees, including providers and retirement plans
- Handling short-term disability cases, return-to-work processes, and follow-ups
- Supporting HR and IATF audits by maintaining accurate and compliant information
- Contributing to policy revisions through collaboration with business leaders
- Liaising with HR team members, legal, vendors, and department leaders
- Creating reports and presentations on HR metrics such as KPI, attrition, absenteeism, and diversity
- Participating in HR projects like Wellness programs, recognition events, and engagement initiatives
- Collaborating on project-based tasks and improving HR processes
What you'll need to succeed:
- University degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of experience in unionized Labour Relations
- Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and Public Hospitals Act
- Understanding of Labour Relations practices and principles
- Experience with workplace investigations, including harassment cases
- Familiarity with collective agreement administration and bargaining
- Proficiency with software applications like Word, Excel, and other Microsoft tools
