What awaits you:
- Administration of the collective agreement, including grievance handling, interpretation, and compliance
- Data collection and report generation for corporate KPI presentations
- Coaching and guiding operating management on assigned shifts
- HR responsibilities such as employment, recruitment, onboarding, and training
- Analyzing and interpreting complex contracts and legislation; resolving issues through interpretation and enforcement
- Conducting workplace investigations and recommending disciplinary actions when appropriate
- Addressing employee HR-related queries and communicating policy updates
- Managing overtime equalization processes with supervisors and employees
- Owning salary onboarding, recruitment, training records, and Textron University
- Managing benefit administration for salaried employees, including providers and retirement plans
- Handling short-term disability cases, return-to-work processes, and follow-ups
- Supporting HR and IATF audits by maintaining accurate and compliant information
- Contributing to site-specific policy revisions with input from business leaders
- Collaborating with partners such as HR team members, legal, vendors, and department leaders
- Creating HR metrics reports and presentations (e.g., KPI, attrition, absenteeism, diversity)
- Participating in HR projects and initiatives like wellness and engagement events
- Engaging in project-based tasks and process improvements
What you'll need to succeed:
- University degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of experience in unionized Labour Relations
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, Public Hospitals Act)
- Understanding of Labour Relations practices and principles
- Experience with workplace investigations, including harassment cases
- Familiarity with collective agreement administration and bargaining
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
