What awaits you:

  • Administration of the collective agreement, including grievance handling, interpretation, and compliance
  • Data collection and report generation for corporate KPI presentations
  • Coaching and guiding operating management on assigned shifts
  • HR responsibilities such as employment, recruitment, onboarding, and training
  • Analyzing and interpreting complex contracts and legislation; resolving issues through interpretation and enforcement
  • Conducting workplace investigations and recommending disciplinary actions when appropriate
  • Addressing employee HR-related queries and communicating policy updates
  • Managing overtime equalization processes with supervisors and employees
  • Owning salary onboarding, recruitment, training records, and Textron University
  • Managing benefit administration for salaried employees, including providers and retirement plans
  • Handling short-term disability cases, return-to-work processes, and follow-ups
  • Supporting HR and IATF audits by maintaining accurate and compliant information
  • Contributing to site-specific policy revisions with input from business leaders
  • Collaborating with partners such as HR team members, legal, vendors, and department leaders
  • Creating HR metrics reports and presentations (e.g., KPI, attrition, absenteeism, diversity)
  • Participating in HR projects and initiatives like wellness and engagement events
  • Engaging in project-based tasks and process improvements

What you'll need to succeed:

  • University degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in unionized Labour Relations
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, Public Hospitals Act)
  • Understanding of Labour Relations practices and principles
  • Experience with workplace investigations, including harassment cases
  • Familiarity with collective agreement administration and bargaining
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
