Job summary

A supportive health services provider in Chatham is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to manage hiring and onboarding processes while enhancing staff engagement. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of HR experience or relevant education and be proficient in Google Suites. This role is pivotal in creating a professional environment that supports the team and appreciates their efforts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of successful experience in human resources.
  • Post secondary education is an asset, preferably in an HR program.
  • Experience in a computerized environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the hiring process from job posting through to onboarding.
  • Conduct phone screens, interviews, and reference checks.
  • Ensure all employment documents are managed appropriately.
  • Complete payroll duties.
  • Administer training in collaboration with the Nurse Advisor.
  • Engage and motivate staff through creative appreciation methods.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the hiring process from job posting through to on-boarding
  • Carry out phone screens, interviews, and reference checks on prospective employees
  • Ensure all employment documents are sent, received and entered into the system for those hired
  • Complete Payroll
  • Play a role in administering training, working with the Nurse Advisor
  • Play a key role in engaging, motivating and rewarding staff
  • Look for creative and impactful ways to appreciate staff throughout the year
Qualifications
  • You have a minimum of 1 year of successful experience in human resources or post secondary education in HR
  • Post secondary education is an asset, preferably in an HR program
  • Experience in a computerized environment
  • Proficiency in Google Suites is preferred
