Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating large tow motors, all terrain forklifts, and overhead cranes.
  • Previous experience organizing shipping documents.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.

About the Position

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Efficient and accurate movement of materials in and outside of plants.
  • Rig, hoist and move materials to and from Walters yards.
  • Assists in the movement of material in the plant/property by use of primarily heavy tow motor, crane, forklift, etc.
  • Ensures safe work practices are adhered to.
  • Load planning and building.
  • Loads and unloads trailers, as required, to Walters Standards.
  • Ensures all tools and equipment are operated with care.
  • Accurately fills out all required paperwork and ensures records remain up to date.
  • Performs housekeeping tasks as assigned.
Work Location
  • Princeton, ON.
  • Working condition is primarily outdoors.
Position Requirements
  • Previous experience operating large tow motors, all terrain forklifts, and overhead cranes.
  • Previous experience organizing shipping documents.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.
Compensation Package
  • Wage: $22.00-$29.00/Hour
