Job Skills / Requirements

The Healthcare North Zone Supervisor position with Paladin Security in Grande Prairie requires a combination of superior customer service, excellent supervision skills, strong reporting abilities, and a willingness to learn and adapt to any situation that may arise.

This position covers the AHS North Zone, which involves significant responsibility in terms of physical area and stress management. The Supervisor may need to oversee large-scale incidents that require extensive emergency response experience, incident command, and emergency management skills.

The Supervisor will encounter a variety of situations where assistance may not be immediately available. With proper training, the Supervisor is expected to handle any situation independently.

The successful candidate will possess law enforcement and/or security experience, hold (or be eligible to obtain) a valid Alberta Security License, and maintain the certification. A valid non-GDL class 5 license is required. Standard First Aid and CPR Level C are also required.

This is a high-responsibility position. The individual must understand their role and be able to prioritize in a dynamic environment. They will frequently communicate with employees, the public, and occasionally the client, always maintaining professionalism and courtesy. The Supervisor acts as the initial liaison between frontline staff and management. They must be comfortable making decisions in stressful situations, demonstrating critical thinking, compassion, and empathy, and knowing when to escalate issues to management.

Multiple interviews may be required for successful hiring. The candidate should submit a detailed cover letter explaining how they meet or exceed the qualifications, including personal law enforcement and/or security experience. The candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Grande Prairie area.

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
