Overview

We are seeking an interview position to process low value shipment (LVS) duties in accordance with Canadian Customs and other government regulations. The primary focus is on commercial shipments, providing accurate information and assistance to international shipment customers.

Responsibilities

Perform duties relevant to the processing of low value shipments, ensure compliance with Canadian customs regulations, provide accurate information and assistance to customers requiring international shipment information, focus on commercial shipments.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Educational Requirements:

• Post Secondary: Community College Diploma/Equivalent

Professional Accreditation:

• Canadian Customs Specialist or CSCB qualified

Related Experience Requirements:

• One year experience (FedEx preferred) with basic knowledge of Canadian Customs Regulations related to International Operations

Other mandatory experience:

• Maintain CCS designation with annual re-currency points
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs (if location includes YQG, YOW, YEG, YWG, YYC, YMX)
• Bilingual in English and French (for Quebec)

Technical Skill Requirements:

• Good mathematical and computer aptitude required
• Knowledge of customs rules and regulations

Computer literacy and proficiency:

• Knowledge of clearance systems preferred
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Minimum 25 wpm on data entry alpha numeric testing preferred
