Qualifications

  • Being involved in the design and development of new products.
  • CNC Milling or Turning with varied controls.
  • Reading engineering drawings.
  • Adhering to company H&S requirements.
  • Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues.

ROLE – Graduate Mechanical Engineer

LOCATION – Southampton

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience

My client designs and manufactures bespoke products for a number of industries. They are looking to take on a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Southampton on a permanent basis.

The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Experience working with machinery or other heavy equipment
  • Eager to work in a hands-on and varied Engineering role
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, plastics, injection moulding, machining, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient in using MS Office
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
  • Ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
