Flynn Canada Ltd is hiring a Glazing Service Superintendent. This position will be based out of our Halifax location, reporting to the Service Manager.

The Service Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day service operations, supporting both office and field teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities
  • Review and document change orders, service requests, and work orders.
  • Coordinate with the Service Manager on project progress, service priorities and final project details.
  • Dispatch technicians with clear job instructions and required documentation.
  • Monitor job performance, material usage, and completion timelines.
  • Provide regular updates to clients and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Support field crews by overseeing and reviewing repairs, inspections, and maintenance work.
  • Resolve on-site issues and ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
  • Manage service inventory, equipment, and fleet compliance.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate technicians and identify future leaders.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, safety, and training needs.
  • Maintain on-call status for emergency service response.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a construction environment; Service Roofing experience is considered an asset.
  • Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Form and maintain customer relations, in person, through email, and over the phone.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documents.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, stay organized, and perform in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Reliable and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Work independently as well as in a team-based environment.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and strong attention to detail.
