Reporting to the Supervisor, Grounds Maintenance, the incumbent will be responsible for general Grounds Maintenance duties as follows:
This position is required to work weekends throughout the winter months and may be called in to assist with snowclearing activities outside of regularly scheduled shifts.
Ability to handle strenuous activities for long duration (2 hours at a time).
Salary: $19.84 per hour.
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma and a valid unrestricted Class 5 Driver’s License with no more than 6 demerits and submission of a motor vehicle record (driver abstract) dated within 3 months of the posting close is required.
The successful candidate should have at least two years working experience with hand tools, power tools and general repair knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment. The successful candidate must be able to maintain effective working relationships with the University’s staff and the general public.
