Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading of materials and equipment
  • Following project instructions and completing all necessary tasks
  • Using power tools and machinery as needed
  • Following instructions from supervisor to perform manual labour tasks
  • Helping with setup, cleaning or taking down of materials or equipment
  • Cleaning up and maintaining work sites
  • Assisting contractors
  • Performing minor repairs and general facility maintenance
  • Maintaining safety and functionality of all equipment and materials
  • Adhering to all safety standards

Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand and or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, carry, push or pull equipment or materials up to 50 pounds
  • Must have work boots – CSA approved steel toes
  • Access to a reliable vehicle or the ability to travel to different areas of Calgary and the surrounding areas
  • Must have a valid SIN (Social Insurance Number) and a bank account to receive payment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and good dexterity
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • A commitment to safety
  • Able to work independently or as an active team member

Experience:

  • Relevant work experience in warehousing, manufacturing, construction or landscaping, depending on the position
  • Familiarity with using tools and equipment particular to either warehousing, manufacturing, construction or landscaping
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and procedures

Base Salary: Varies depending on assignment (approx. $17-22/hr)

  • About Staffing’s temporary candidates are pay-rolled weekly via direct deposit.

Work Hours:

  • Work hours will vary depending on the assignment details and employers’ needs. This information will be confirmed at the time of your interview or offering of assignment(s).

Additional Notes:

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
