Our location in London, Ontario has an opening for a Full‑time Production / Relief Mixer position.

Position description:

Relief mixers are fully trained mixers who work in both mixing and production roles. Production will take priority over Mixing when scheduling. Relief Mixers will provide mixing coverage for scheduled and unscheduled absences.

Mixing Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Mix ingredient batches in exact accordance with the recipe formulation and specifications.
  • Supply production team with batch output requirements in a timely, as needed basis.
  • Work as a team to achieve daily production yields, efficiency and productivity targets.
  • Ensure all paperwork is kept in order, completed promptly and accurately and submitted on time.
  • Maintain the highest quality & safety standards, adhering to all GMPs, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the area is kept clean and tidy at all times, to prevent potential contamination and / or injury.
  • Prepare QA samples and documentation as needed.
  • Liaising with relevant personnel on equipment repairs as needed to prevent and minimize downtime.
  • Support the training and development of other members within the team.
  • Ensure the overall efficiency and productivity of the operation is maintained at a high standard.
  • Keep downtime, material and time waste to a minimum.
  • Providing direction, leadership and training to other mixers when in 1st Mixer role.
Position Requirements:
  • Must be able to wear mandatory respiratory equipment (face must be clean shaven)
  • Have strong communication (oral and written) and comprehension skills.
  • Be able to work quickly, under pressure, and have a sense of urgency.
  • Be able to record and reconcile information while prioritizing.
  • Have the ability to work independently and with minimal direction.
  • Have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • The flexibility to meet the ever‑changing needs of the department.
  • Outstanding work safe attitude and safety record.
  • Good attendance record.
  • Repeated heavy lifting required up to 50lbs.
Schedule:
  • Required to be available for a minimum of four (4) shifts per week from Monday to Saturday, with Saturdays being a regularly required shift.
  • Shifts are scheduled Monday through Saturday and 10 hours in length.
  • Schedules are posted 2 weeks in advance.
  • Start times could be different every day; current openings are on the A-Shift with start times between 12:00 am - 9:45am & B-Shift with start times between 10:30am - 8:15pm
What we provide:

Wage: Probationary Rate (70 shifts) Production is $20.56 and Mixing is $23.78

After Probationary Period of 70 Shifts Production rate is $22.84 and Mixing rate is $26.42
