Job summary

A community security service is seeking up to 4 Licensed Security Guards for high school roles in Georgetown, Ontario. The successful candidates will ensure the safety of students and compliance with school policies. Responsibilities include patrolling hallways and addressing unauthorized individuals on school property. Candidates must hold a Security Guard License and First Aid Certificate. Competitive pay of $19.00 per hour with additional benefits available.

Job description

Commissionaires Hamilton is seeking up to 4 Licensed Security Guards for security roles in High schools in Georgetown, Milton and Burlington.

Placement would be immediate upon hire.

The successful Candidate will be the uniformed security presence for various a selected High School in the Halton Region Catholic School Board.

The successful candidate must be able to attain a Vulnerable Sector Clearance for close involvement with minors.

Duties include ensuring the safe arrival and departure of students onto, and off of, school grounds, patrolling of the hallways to ensure safe movement of students between classes and to prevent unwanted activity amongst the students.

Guards will also be responsible for identifying trespassers onto school property and ensuring their removal from school grounds.

Guards will also be responsible for being aware of school policies regarding student activity and ensuring they are followed.

Other security duties will be described to the guard by school management.

• Mon – Fri generally between 0730-1530 (Different schools may have different work hours)
