Overview

On behalf of a leading Logistics company, Protrans Personnel Services is seeking a full-time Counterbalance Forklift Operator to work in Oakville (Ontario).

Position Title: Forklift Operator - Start Immediately – Morning Shift

Shift Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm (Monday - Friday)

Location: Oakville, Ontario

Pay Rate: $21 / hr (paid every week by direct deposit)

Note: Experience working with food products is required.

Required: Counterbalance experience with a minimum of 3 years.

Responsibilities
  • Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy.
  • Shrink wrap orders with label and move completed order to the loading dock area using electronic pallet jack or walkie-rider equipment.
  • Move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment.
  • Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free.
  • Accurately receive inbound products and replenish inventory as needed.
  • Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate material handling equipment (pallet jack / forklift).
  • Offload and put away product that is delivered to the warehouse.
  • Operate Raymond Reach and/or Counterbalance trucks to transport, stage, load/unload finished products and raw materials onto and off trailers.
  • Case Picking orders using the Raymond Reach truck and an RF scanner gun.
  • Perform basic sanitation duties to maintain a clean and safe environment; clear aisles of debris, stacks of empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area.
  • Observe all safety policies and procedures.
Position Requirements
  • Previous Counterbalance experience
  • Current Counterbalance License
  • Ability to use a variety of forklift attachments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to follow basic verbal and written instructions in English
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous warehouse experience is an asset
  • Steel-toed shoes or boots
  • RF Scanner experience is an asset
  • Must have experience working with food products
