Job summary

A global logistics and transportation company in Burnaby is seeking a delivery driver to ensure timely delivery of packages on specific routes. Responsibilities include reviewing orders, loading/unloading the vehicle, and providing exceptional customer service. Overview

This is an interview position. To ensure timely delivery of packages to predetermined customers on specific routes, responsibilities include reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading/unloading the vehicle, and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. Flexible shift opportunities (minimum and maximum hours; days of work determined by business requirements).

Responsibilities
  • Review orders prior to delivery to ensure accuracy.
  • Load and unload the delivery vehicle.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
  • Ensure timely delivery of packages to predetermined customers on assigned routes.
  • Maintain flexibility with shift opportunities as required by business needs.
Qualifications
  • Post Secondary:
    • High school diploma or educational equivalent.
  • Professional accreditation/certification:
    • Valid full G license / Class 5 driver's license.
  • Related Experience Requirements:
    • None required for entry; one year of customer-oriented business experience is preferred.
    • Time required to learn/adjust: 3 months.
    • In the province of Quebec, bilingual (French and English) is required.
  • Technical Skill Requirements:
    • Must achieve minimum threshold on mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training.
    • Ability to complete basic and currency training.
    • Ability to lift 70 lbs.
    • Some knowledge of Federal Express Canada operations is an asset.
  • Interpersonal Skill Requirements:
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Good time management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to multitask, handle stress, and work in a highly pressured environment.
Benefits & Pay

Pay: $21.74 per hour
